CAPE BRETON WEST'S BRENT MACEACHERN WINS JACQUES COMEAU AWARD
Jun. 22, 2020

Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to announce that the Cape Breton West Minor Hockey Association coach Brent MacEachern is the second winner of our 2020 Jacques Comeau Coach of the Year Award.

The Jacques Comeau Coach of the Year Award is presented annually in memory of Jacques Comeau who passed away in 2014. Jacques was a longtime coach and volunteer with the Halifax Hawks Minor Hockey Association who always exhibited the qualities of dedication, respect and fair play while behind the bench.

For the past decade, Brent has been a coach with the
Cape Breton West Minor Hockey Association. During the 2019-20 hockey season, he volunteered his time as the head coach of the Cape Breton West U13 AAA team and the Cape Breton West U15 AA team. If that wasn’t enough, he was also an assistant coach with the Quad Counties Female U11 AA team.

A busy husband and father, Brent spends every day of the week committed to minor hockey and the growth and development of his players. He believes in hard work, persistence, and good sportsman. Through his dedication to the game and its betterment, Brent has gained the respect of the families of his player, and the opposition coaches that he faces off against.

On behalf of everyone at Hockey Nova Scotia, we would like to congratulate Brent MacEachern on receiving our 2020 Jacques Comeau Coach of the Year Award.
