ON SATURDAY, APRIL 25, #HOCKEYCOMESTOGETHER
Apr. 22, 2020
APRIL 22 #HOCKEYCOMESTOGETHER UPDATE:
It has been a difficult few weeks for our province and hockey community.
Last month, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world around us. It meant the sudden and abrupt end of our hockey season.
We had been planning to bring our hockey family together on Saturday, April 25th to give our teams the end-of-year party they never had. An opportunity to connect with teammates. A chance to reflect on a season of special memories and lessons learned.
But this weekend, our province experienced an unimaginable tragedy.
Like all Nova Scotians, we were devastated. We had a lot of emotions. We had a lot of questions.
And we wondered about the future of our event.
But it’s called #HockeyComesTogether.
And this week, perhaps more than ever, we believe it’s more important to unite.
So on Saturday, our hockey family will come together because we are in this together.
Because we are stronger together.
Because we are better together.
Because we have a whole team behind us.
On Saturday, April 25th, let’s make sure that #HockeyComesTogether to show how much we care.
April 16, 2020: CELEBRATE THE SEASON WITH OUR #HOCKEYCOMESTOGETHER PARTY ON APRIL 25
Our hockey season came to a very abrupt and unexpected end last month.
For some, hopes of a provincial championship were dashed in an instant. For others, it marked the premature conclusion of a minor hockey career. For more, it simply meant the end of hockey fun with friends.
While the COVID-19 global pandemic has changed the world around us, we believe that it shouldn’t prevent you and your teammates from getting together to celebrate your club's hockey successes.
That’s why we want YOU to come party with US.
On Saturday, April 25th, we want every hockey team in Nova Scotia to gather online at 6 p.m. for our #HockeyComesTogether Party, an end-of-year celebration of the 2019-20 season that will be hosted over Zoom.
No, we won’t all be in the same party. But we will all be doing the same thing: celebrating with our teammates.
We will be contacting coaches and hockey associations across the province to help them set up their own individual team Zoom parties.
We want this to be the biggest and best online celebration of its kind. That’s why we’re encouraging all participating teams to share screenshots and photos from their parties by using the #HockeyComesTogether hashtag. Don’t forget to tag Hockey Nova Scotia in all of your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts.
On April 25th, let’s make sure that #HockeyComesTogether online in Nova Scotia to celebrate our incredible game.
