DARTMOUTH — Seven teams from Nova Scotia are on the hunt for Atlantic gold this week.
This afternoon, the puck drops on five Atlantic hockey championships across the Maritimes. Two of those tournaments are taking place in Nova Scotia.

Peewee AAA Atlantics

The 2019 Peewee AAA Atlantic Hockey Championship begins this afternoon at the Pictou County Wellness Centre in New Glasgow. 
Nova Scotia will be represented by the provincial champion Bedford Blues, as well as the host Pictou County Crushers.

Major Bantam AAA Atlantics
The 2019 Major Bantam AAA Atlantic Hockey Championship is also being hosted in our province.
The Upper Tantallon-based Gulls Major Bantam Hockey Club are the tournament hosts and the defending provincial champs.

The ACCEL Physio Major Bantams, the Nova Scotia runners-up, will also vie for a regional title as the Nova Scotia representatives.

Female Bantam Atlantics
In Female Bantam action this afternoon, the Fundy-Highland Selects, the N.S. champs, kick off their Female Bantam Atlantics journey in Clarenville, N.L.

Female Midget Atlantics
The Station Six Fire will look to book their ticket to the Esso Cup this weekend in Bathurst, N.B where the club will represent the province at Female Midget Atlantics.

Major Midget Atlantics
The Halifax Macs are also hoping to represent the Atlantic region at a national championship.

The Macs are the N.S. representatives at Major Midget Atlantics in Charlottetown this weekend. The winner will earn a trip to the 2019 TELUS Cup.
