The Jordan Boyd Foundation is accepting applications for the
2019 Jordan Boyd Leadership Awards.

The Jordan Boyd Leadership Award was established in the fall of 2013, following the sudden and tragic death of 16-year-old Jordan Boyd of Bedford, N.S. during the training camp of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

It is hoped that these awards will assist successful applicants realize their academic goals as they move towards the next exciting chapter of their lives. Jordan’s family also receives some comfort knowing that Jordan continues to positively impact the community.

The Jordan Boyd Leadership Award, in the form of post-secondary entrance scholarships, recognizes individuals in amateur hockey who have demonstrated a passion for sportsmanship, learning, leadership and community. Students who have participated in minor hockey through local hockey associations, including high school, and Hockey Nova Scotia programs are eligible to apply. Each scholarship consists of a one-time cash award of $2,000 to be used for post- secondary tuition. Since 2014, $40,000 in Scholarships have been awarded to 23 Nova Scotia high school students from across Nova Scotia.
