It is Good Deeds season once again.

With the 2018-19 season set to begin, Hockey Canada and Chevrolet are proudly partnering once again on the third season of the Good Deeds Cup and the fourth season of the Good Deeds Cup Team Kits, two programs that use the skills that hockey can teach to create better people off the ice.

The Good Deeds Cup Team Kits help equip Peewee coaches with the tools they need to develop players on the ice, while introducing those players to important values that will make them better people away from the rink. As with past seasons, each kit includes the coach bag, helmet decals, playbook, and pucks.

Two new items have been added to the kits for this season. First is a lace bracelet with the Good Deeds Cup trophy that can be worn off the ice to bring further awareness to the program. And for parents who want to show off their pride, vehicle decals have also been added.

There are 3,000 kits available to coaches this year. They are free of charge, and eligible Peewee coaches can receive theirs by registering at

Another Good Deeds Cup means another year of searching for the Peewee hockey team making the biggest impact in their communities through their good deeds. Winners receive a donation to the charity of their choice, a winner’s ceremony in their town, a television feature on their good deed, and a summer skate with a Chevrolet Hockey Ambassador.

Last year, more than 100 teams across the country participated in the contest before The Pas Huskies were voted national winners for their work helping to feed the homeless at Oscar’s Place, a homeless shelter in their hometown.
