JEFF RAFUSE APPOINTED NEW PRESIDENT OF NOVA SCOTIA FEMALE MIDGET HOCKEY LEAGUE
Jun. 20, 2018

DARTMOUTH — Nova Scotia’s top female Midget league will have a new president during the upcoming hockey season.

Jeff Rafuse has been appointed as the president of the Nova Scotia Female Midget Hockey League (NSFMHL). He will take over the role from Guy Dumont.

Rafuse, a Halifax resident, is a long-time female hockey volunteer who has coached at levels from IP to Bantam.

“Jeff has a solid background in the game and is very familiar with the way our league operates,” said Stephen Murray, chair of Hockey Nova Scotia’s Female Council. “We look forward to working with Jeff to help further grow and promote the NSFMHL.”

The NSFMHL is the top female Midget hockey league in Nova Scotia. In 2017, three teams from New Brunswick joined the league, helping expand the number of NSFMHL clubs from four to seven.

The 2018-19 NSFMHL season begins in September.

Hockey Nova Scotia would like to congratulate Jeff Rafuse on his new position and wish him the best of luck in his new role.
