The hosts begin their tournament on Thursday evening against Kensington. The puck drops at 8 p.m.

The top teams from the event will face off on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the gold medal game. The winner will represent Atlantic Canada at the 2018 TELUS Cup in Sudbury, Ont. next month.

Last year, the Cape Breton West Islanders defeated the Blizzard du Séminaire St François 5-4 in overtime of the TELUS Cup gold medal game. The Islanders were the first team from Atlantic Canada to ever win the national championship.
