DARTMOUTH — Five provincial champions were crowned in rinks across Nova Scotia on Sunday.
The first provincial champions of the day were the Metro West Force White squad. Metro West Force White narrowly edged the host Fundy-Highland Subway Selects 1-0 in the gold medal game to capture the Female Peewee AA provincial banner at the Hector Arena in Pictou on Sunday afternoon.
The Metro West Force Female Hockey Association earned a second provincial title at the Apple Dome in Berwick later that day. The Metro West Force Blue topped the Fundy-Highland Subway Selects 3-1 in the final to win gold. The team finished the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record and will now represent the province at Female Bantam Atlantics in Charlottetown from April 5-8.
The Bedford Blues are also bound for Atlantics. The Blues shut out the Antigonish Bulldogs 1-0 in the championship finale at the Peewee AAA provincial tournament hosted by the TASA Minor Hockey Association in Upper Tantallon. By bringing home provincial gold, the Blues booked their ticket to Atlantics in Edmunston, New Brunswick next month. They will represent Nova Scotia at the event which runs from April 5-8.
The Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey League’s top team during the regular season came out on top at the Major Bantam provincial event in Liverpool. The Gulls topped the All-Credit Auto Rangers 4-2 in the championship game.

The tournament was hosted by the Western Hurricanes at the Queen’s Place Emera Centre.

The win earns the Gulls the right to represent their province at Major Bantam Atlantics in Torbay, Newfoundland from April 5-8.

Finally, Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to congratulate the Admirals as the first-ever Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League provincial champions. The Admirals defeated the Basin Armada 2-0 in the gold medal final. Brennan Ware potted the game-winning goal in the first period while Bryson Uberoi made 25 saves between the pipes to earn the shut out.

Big congratulations to the Admirals and the entire NSMMAAAHL on an incredible season of hockey. Thank you all for your ever-attentive focus on player development.

Three more provincial champions will be decided at tournaments next month. Female Midget AA provincials run from April 6-8 at the St. Margaret's Centre.

Bantam AA Provincials, hosted by the Cumberland County Minor Hockey Association, take place from April 5-8 while Midget AA Provincials, hosted by the Antigonish Minor Hockey Association, run from April 6-8.
