NEW VALLEY WILDCATS MINOR MIDGET AAA TEAM ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR HEAD COACH POSITION

Valley Wildcats are of seven franchised to join the new Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League

DARTMOUTH — The Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League’s Valley Wildcats are seeking a head coach.

The Valley Wildcats are one of seven new franchises that will participate in the brand new Nova Scotia Minor Midget AAA Hockey League. The puck drops on the league's inaugural season in September of 2017.

The Valley team is currently accepting applications for the position of head coach. Please find below a message from the Valley Wildcats’ board of directors (or click here for more information).

The Board of Directors of the Valley Wildcats Minor Midget AAA Hockey Program is seeking applications for the position of Head Coach.

If you are looking for an opportunity to work with and develop the skill of high-level hockey players while at the same time, assisting in the development of their physical fitness and community-involvement, you should apply. This is a unique opportunity to help lead the on and off ice hockey development of 15 and 16 year old athletes as they progress in their hockey careers. This would be done with the assistance of a Board of Directors and tremendous community support from respected hockey programs such as the Valley Wildcats Major Midget Program and the Acadia University Men’s Hockey team.

Expectations of the Head Coach would include the following:

•Appoint Coaching Staff [Assistant Coaches]

•Team selection [Full-time and alternate players]

•Hold two practices / week [Berwick & Acadia with times yet to be determined]

•Attend all scheduled games [Berwick; approximately 28-32 / season –TBD]

•Attend all three [3] league tournaments and perhaps another tournament agreed upon by the Coaching Staff and Board of Directors

•Liaison between players / parents, Valley Wildcat Major Midget coaches and General Manager as well as scouts / media to maximize player exposure and future opportunities

•NCCP Development 1 or High Performance 1 Certified; updated proof of completion of Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check

•Any other duties related to the development and growth of the Valley Wildcats Minor Midget AAA Hockey Program

Note: The deadline for receiving applications is 5pm, Friday, May 19
th, 2017. The application can be received by email, fax, mail or be dropped off to the address below.

Yours sincerely,

Adam Clarke

President, Board of Directors
