“This is a great opportunity for sledge players from our province to get on the ice and test themselves against some of the best players in the country,” said Garth Isenor, president of Hockey Nova Scotia. “We encourage all of our female sledge hockey players to take part in this exciting event.”

At 5 p.m. on Saturday evening, the women’s team will take on Nova Scotia’s provincial sledge hockey team in an exhibition game. On Sunday at 11 a.m., the two teams will face each other again in a second exhibition match-up.

As part of the weekend’s schedule, Women’s Sledge Hockey of Canada head coach Tara Chisholm will lead a sledge hockey coaching clinic on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
