The deadline to sign up with the Female Hockey Central Registry has been extended!
All players who plan on playing Female Hockey in Nova Scotia during the 2016-17 season are asked to sign up by August 15, 2016.
Players and famillies are reminded that signing up with the Central Registry is completely free.
Below is a list of the six zones and the MHAs which make them up. (Please note that players from the Cape Breton West MHA will have the option of signing up with either FEMALE CAPE BRETON or FEMALE FUNDY/HIGHLAND and players from the Clare-Digby MHA will have the option of signing up with either FEMALE WESTERN or FEMALE NOVA.)

Here is how the registry works: Female players will sign up online with one of six geographical zones based on where they live. These zones are made of the regions represented by our current Minor Hockey Association (MHA) borders. Registration is done online through the Hockey Canada Online Registration System. Links to register with the new zones can be found below.
For example, if your child played with the New Waterford MHA during the 2014-15 season, you will sign her up with the FEMALE CAPE BRETON ZONE. If she played hockey with the South Shore MHA during the 2014-15 season, you will sign her up with the FEMALE WESTERN ZONE.
When players have signed up with their respective Female Hockey Zone, they will be placed on teams by our Female Hockey Committees. Our committees will create teams and place players on those teams based on the location of players and their desired level of players. When a team has been formed, it will then be assigned back to a Minor Hockey Association in the Female Hockey Zone. Players will pay their registration to their assigned Minor Hockey Association.
Please note: Players will have the option to sign up for both C-level (community level) hockey and either AA or A-level hockey.
