Team Nova Scotia takes on Team Manitoba tonight in the Canada Winter Games male hockey quarterfinals.

Nova Scotia enters the game with a 0-2-1-0 record while Manitoba is 2-1-0-0.

Nova Scotia started the tournament on Sunday with a tough 6-1 loss to Quebec in their opening game. After a hard-fought 5-4 loss to Alberta in their second game Monday, the boys pulled off an exciting 2-1 win in overtime over Saskatchewan.  Jared McIsaac scored all four shootout goals for the team while Matt Welsh was excellent between the pipes.

Some of the top scorers for Nova Scotia so far in the Games are Derek Gentile (one goal, two assists), Shane Bowers (one goal, one assist), Walter Flowers (one goal, one assist) and Brock McLeod (two assists).   

Manitoba dropped their first game of the Games 5-3 to Ontario but rebounded in their next two matches with a 5-2 win over British Columbia and a 4-2 victory over New Brunswick. Some players to watch for on the Manitoba roster include Brett Davis (two goals, three assists), Connor Gutenberg (three goals, one assist), Leif Mattson (one goal, two assists) and Tanner Mole (three assists).
