Welcome to the home of Hockey Nova Scotia!
Dec. 6, 2014

Hockey Nova Scotia is proud to announce that our president Randy Pulsifer has been elected to the Hockey Canada Board of Directors.

The vote was held today in Ottawa at Hockey Canada’s 96th Annual Meeting, which coincides with the 100th anniversary of Hockey Canada.

Pulsifer is a long-time minor hockey volunteer and official, serving as Hockey Nova Scotia’s referee-in-chief before taking over as president in May 2011. Pulsifer’s term was set to expire in May 2015. He will immediately take on his new role with Hockey Canada and step down as Hockey Nova Scotia president in January 2015.

“It has been a great honour to be able to serve our members as president of Hockey Nova Scotia,” Pulsifer said from Ottawa on Saturday afternoon. “Over the last three and a half years, we have worked hard to make the game safer and more accessible for our young players and that is a mission I hope to continue with Hockey Canada.”

As per Hockey Nova Scotia by-laws, Hockey Nova Scotia vice-president of operations, Garth Isenor, will assume the role of President until May 2015 when Pulsifer’s term was scheduled to end. The vice-president of operations position will be left vacant until that time.

“I would like to congratulate Randy on his appointment to the Hockey Canada Board of Directors,” Isenor said. “Randy has been an incredible volunteer with Hockey Nova Scotia and has done some great work to help grow our game and I look forward to continuing that work in the coming months.”

A new president will be elected in May 2015 at Hockey Nova Scotia’s Annual General Meeting.

Pulsifer has been elected to a one-year term on the Hockey Canada Board of Directors. The members of the Board of Directors are elected by their respective branches and help develop a comprehensive plan to grow the game on a local and national level.

Congratulations Randy and thank you for your service to Hockey Nova Scotia.
