For the second year in a row, NHLers from our province will be coming together in support of Phoenix Youth Programs.

On July 29th, Champions for Change hits the Metro Centre as some of Nova Scotia’s top hockey talent join forces for an evening of dinner, live and silent auctions, games, photo opportunities and on-stage interviews. Brad Marchand, Andrew MacDonald, James Sheppard, Dave Andrews and Paul Boutilier are just a few of the NHL veterans that will be attending the event. All of the money raised from the event will go directly to Phoenix Youth Programs. Lisa Haley, Alexis Crossley and Jillian Saulnier, veterans of Canada's national women's programs, will also be part of the talented hockey cast.

Last year, the event raised $70,000 for the programs and services Phoenix offers to homeless and at-risk youth in Nova Scotia.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for minor hockey teams and players to come together to hear from some of Nova Scotia’s best on how they made the journey from our local rinks to the pros. It makes a great end-of-year party for teams and a great team builder for minor hockey associations as they prepare for another season.

There will be lots of action in the Kids’ Zone which will be hosted by the Halifax Mooseheads. Tickets for these lower bowl seats is $20 each or $500 for a pack of 30 tickets. These prices include a meal.

Hope to see you at the Metro Centre on July 29th!
