When the World Jr. A Challenge gets underway in Yarmouth next week, three Nova Scotians will be taking part in all of the action.

John Mullally and Evan MacEachern of the MHL's Weeks Crushers and the Yarmouth Mariners’ Morgan Messenger were named to Canada East’s World Jr. A roster on Wednesday.

Mullally, a Timberlea native, is tied for eighth in MHL scoring with 9 goals and 8 assists in 14 games for the Crushers this season. His teammate Evan MacEachern (Bedford), a defenceman, has put up a pair of goals and 4 assists from the point this year.

The two Crushers will be joined on Canada East by fellow Bluenoser Morgan Messenger. The Barrington proudct will be the first player to play in his home rink at the World Jr. A Challenge since 2010 when he hits the ice at the Mariners Centre next week.

Messenger has 5 goals and 7 assists for the Mariners in 13 MHL games this season.

The World Jr. A Challenge kicks off Monday, November 4 at 4 PM when Switzerland meets Canada West in the first game. Meanwhile, Canada East faces Russia in their first game at 8 PM Monday evening.

A pair of exhibition games are scheduled for Saturday, November 2. Canada East takes on the Czech Republic at 7 PM at the Barrington Municipal Arena while Canada West meets Team USA at 7 at the Digby Arena.

The gold medal is slated for noon on Sunday, November 10 at the Mariners Centre.
