THREE HNS GRADS ATTENDING NATIONAL WOMEN'S U22 FITNESS AND CONDITIONING CAMP
Apr. 26, 2013

Hockey Nova Scotia is well represented at Canada's 2013 national women's team U22 conditioning camp in Toronto this week.

Nova Scotians Jillian Saulnier, Alexis Crossley and Carmen MacDonald are three of the 43 players taking part in four days of fitness testing and fitness development sessions with Hockey Canada.

The U22 team is part of Hockey Canada's development program and brings participants one step closer to a spot on a future Canadian Olympic team roster.

Saulnier, a Halifax native who is a forward for Cornell University, has played for Team Canada's U22 team the past two years.

Cole Harbour's Alexis Crossley, a University of New Hampshire defenceman, played for Team Canada on the U18 team in 2012 that won gold in Prague.

Pictou County's Carmen MacDonald is a goaltender for St. Lawrence University. She last played for Team Canada on the U18 women's team in 2010.

Hockey Nova Scotia would like to wish these players the best of luck at this week's camp.
