Mandatory RIS parent program for IP and Novice parents
Oct. 1, 2012

For all NOVICE and IP Parents Registered with Hockey Nova Scotia

As you may be aware, Hockey Nova Scotia has mandated the Respect in Sport Parent Program for all Novice and IP Parents registered with Hockey Nova Scotia.

One parent of each child registered in our Novice or IP Programs MUST have the program completed by no later than December 1st, 2012.

Should this program not be completed by December 1st, 2012, your child will be removed from their bench and unable to play, practice or participate in any Hockey Nova Scotia sanctioned events.  This removal will remain in effect until completion of the program at which time the child will be re-instated.

This is the link to the Respect in Sport page on the Hockey Nova Scotia website http://www.hockeynovascotia.ca/hns_11618.html.  The parent program is the second link on this page and there is some excellent information in the form of memos as well as instructions on how the registration process.

For further information please do not hesitate to contact Beth at 454-9400 ext. 223 or breid@hockeynovascotia.ca.
