HNS teams come up big in Atlantic Championships

Four Hockey Nova Scotia teams can now call themselves 2012 Atlantic Canadian Champions!

Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championship
For the forth consecutive year, an HNS team captured the title.  In a hard fought battle, the Chester Junior C Clippers beat the Kivalliq Canucks 7-3 to win the title.

Irving Oil Challenge Cup - Bantam Atlantics
Right here at home, Halifax Accel Major Bantam Hawks went 5-0 as the host team to capture Gold.  They played the HNS representative - Bubba Ray's Gulls - in the finals in front of a spirited crowd and won 3-1.

Atlantic Female Midget Championship
In Bathurst, NB, Metro Boston Pizza Female Midget AAA won a close game against HNB 3-2 to win the Gold Medal.  This win grants them the right to represent Atlantic Canada in the Esso Cup to be held in Charlottetown, PEI, April 22nd-28th.

Bell Aliant Peewee AAA Atlantic Championship
Summerside, PEI played host to five Peewee AAA teams and saw HNS representative Bedford Blues beat Host team Summerside with a convincing 5-2 win for the Gold title.  After going down by one goal, they scored four unanswered goals in the second and capped it off with one in the third for good measure.
